Dear Parents/Guardians
You will be aware that Teaching Unions have been
involved in Action Short of Strike since October 2022. This has now escalated
again, and the Unions have instructed teachers to withdraw their labour for a
half day on Wednesday 29th November 2023.
Teachers have a legitimate right to take Strike Action
and as I am unable to guarantee that your child’s teacher will present
themselves for work on Wednesday 29th November, I have had to take the
difficult decision to close the school from 9am until 12pm on the day of the
strike.
No pupils should access the school before this time as
there will be no supervision available until 12pm. Dinners for all pupils will
commence at 12.15pm on the day of the strike with pick-ups and afterschool
clubs running as they typically would.
I will endeavour to keep you up to date with relevant
information as the Unions have further Strike Action planned.
