Welcome to the Primary 5/6 class,

I am absolutely delighted to be teaching this super class this year and look forward to a fun filled, rewarding year with your child.

We have been extremely busy to date and have covered many topics and have settled into the life of the classroom very well.

This term, in Numeracy, we will work on Place Value, tables, 2D shape, 3D shape and much more. Children will be working on Mathletics and a huge focus on Morning questions and Mental Maths.

Our genre of writing is ‘Narrative’ and I look forward to reading your scary stories for Halloween.... be prepared for a thrill! We have also continued with World News which the children love! Our class novel is Charlotte’s Web and we are reading Colin Bateman’s SOS series!

This term will see us also covering Rainforests as our World Around Us topic... and already the children have been enjoying it!!

We have swimming starting on Friday 21st September for 4 weeks!!
