Football success
On Thursday our girls and boys Gaelic football teams travelled to play St Nicholas PS Ardglass in the first round of the Down GAA schools tournament. There was great excitement all around the corridors of legamaddy as this was the first GAA trip out since covid put our lives on hold. With 24 beaming faces we got on the bus in our new strip from exquisite tiles and promised ourselves we would enjoy the day out regardless of the score. Every single child gave 100% which anyone would be proud of but we were all completely blown away by the sportsmanship, teamwork and positive attitude from our little stars! The boys and girls represented our school with enthusiasm & impeccable manners. Coming away with two strong wins and a place in the next round was just the icing on the cake. A big thank you to Ardglass for hosting the games. It was great to get everyone out playing the sport we all love. We now look forward to playing Saul in the next round.
