P1/P7 celebrate the Feast of St .Brigid

Primary 1 and Primary 7 had a lovely visit together to the church today to celebrate the Feast of St. Brigid. We sang a beautiful song for her, had some prayers and listened to the story of Brigid and how the St. Brigid’s cross came about. 
As a special gift, the P7 children made their P1 buddies a special cross, which were blessed and given to them in the chapel. 

Together, we pray for Saint Brigid  

We sing a sing to Brigid, 
Brigid brings the Spring, 
Awakens all the fields and the flowers
And calls the birds to sing.
